If you have not been able to figure it out by now, I am a skincare junkie. Yes, it is true, through and through there is something about skincare that has always made my heart sing. Constantly on the hunt, once the news of Mario Badescu releasing a new facial spray containing aloe, chamomile and lavender, I knew I had to get my hands on it. 

What is this spray all about?

Mario Badescu has a slew of popular, high quality and affordable products within their current offerings. The facial sprays ($7 for 4oz) have been a cult favorite for years among the celebrity and average consumer circles. The original aloe, cucumber and green tea facial spray was an instant hit among many. After the popularity of the aloe spray, they released an aloe, herbs and rosewater spray, which became a staple for the masses. 

It is no surprise that the newest addition to the Mario Badescu line of facial sprays has become an immediate hot product at Ulta, the exclusive seller of the aloe, chamomile and lavender facial spray.  Packed with good for your skin ingredients, chamomile, lavender essence water and vitamin C, Mario Badescu has seriously stepped up their game. Not only can this product act as a toner replacement and skin refresher, this product can be used prior to and during makeup application/wear. 

Although the all of the facial sprays are indicated for use on all skin types, here is a quick run-down of what each spray is most intended to do. (*Note that each of the sprays feature specific essence water that can help target specific skincare concerns*)

• Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea - intended to invigorate the skin and provide radiance 
• Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater - intended to provide a hydrated, dewy glow
• Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender - intended to brighten and soothe the skin.

Is the new spray really worth it though?

For someone like me, with dry, acne prone skin, the Lavender spray will become an unsung hero in your skincare arsenal. You can clearly tell from our above picture, that the product has been used significantly prior to taking the photo, and it is for good reason. I have noticed my skin is becoming clearer, less inflamed, with less painful acne breakouts and is much more hydrated. Now the hydration increase could very well be from another new product I have been using in conjunction with this spray, but I can tell you honestly, with a straight face, that this bitterly cold NY winter is not wrecking the havoc on my skin that it normally does. I really am crediting a lot to this spray. 
Using the product is simple. Simply dispense a few spritzes of this fine mist across your face and neck, and then allow it to absorb by either letting it sit on the skin or gently patting it in. The spray mechanism is smooth, with a fine mist, and no issue of droplets being shot from the sprayer. The product itself is so calming and refreshing to use. At bedtime it is the perfect scent to help relax and unwind from the day. 

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an easy way to help lock in moisture and soothe their skin. The aloe, chamomile and lavender facial spray from Mario Badescu is a simple, effective product that stands a big shot at replacing a traditional toner step in most peoples skincare routine. I am very excited to see what long term use of this product can do for the skin!
