Everything that this product claims to do, it does. I have happily been using this product since early December 2017, and have seen and can speak to the claims. As someone with incredibly dark undereye circles and puffiness, this product over the last several weeks has lightened my circles, de-puffed, tightened, brightened and lifted my undereye area. Application of the product is simple, yet strange at the same time. The hydrogel formula feels like a gel, but has a firm, bounciness to it that I have never felt before in a product. When you put your finger into the jar (yes, I know, it is a jar eye product - not the most sanitary, so make sure your hands are clean prior to use.) a tiny amount of product will 'cling' to your finger, and that is ALL you will need for one eye. A little of this product goes a long way. Gently tapping the product into the undereye area, focusing on the most troublesome spots, does not tug at the eye in any way. The hydrogel absorbs quickly, leaving no tackiness like other eye creams can. The price of this product is on par with most other eye products, I believe it was $12 at Ulta.
