The Creme Shop

The Crème Shop Sheet Mask

K-Beauty products at your local drugstore?

You already know it, I am a sucker for a sheet mask. Even more, I am a sucker for a K-beauty sheet mask. Ok, try it again - I am a sucker for a K-beauty sheet mask on sale at my local drugstore. You heard me right, K-beauty is popping up at CVS stores all across the country, and some of these products are not to be missed. Today, let's chat about The Crème Shop sheet masks, available at CVS.

The Crème Shop has officially taken over the sheet mask section of my local CVS. With a huge assortment of choices, from fusion masks to animal print masks to seasonal masks to the average type of sheet mask, there are options for everyone. So, to my surprise, right after the holiday season ended ALL of The Crème Shop face masks went 75% off. Yes, that made each sheet mask a whopping $0.75. I managed to snag one of each seasonal mask, as well as their fusion masks and a B12 mask. Each mask has it's own individual claims, but the simplest way to group the masks that I purchased would be radiant/moisturizing masks, acne/oil control masks and anti-aging masks.

What is inside the packaging?
Let's get into the mask itself now. You open the packaging, and there really is not much of a smell to these products. The peppermint oil based masks have a slight scent of sweet peppermint, the pumpkin spice fusion mask smelled lightly of cinnamon, so on so forth for all the masks. The smell is not overpowering and you don't really notice it during wear time.

Inside the package is your standard sheet mask DRENCHED in essence. There is an excess of essence left in the packaging, but fear not, that is on purpose. In the directions, it specifically tells you to take the excess essence and apply it to the spots on your face not covered by the mask, on your neck, shoulders, decollate, hands - basically anywhere you want to apply it. I do not recommend trying to save this essence for later use. It does dry rather quickly in the packaging, and if you try to reuse it, you end up feeling like a sticky, gooey mess of essence (not like I tried it or anything...my face would not be happy with that. *ahem, liar!* Ok, I tried it and it didn't go well, trust me on this.) Discard whatever is left in the packaging but do not be afraid to apply the essence anywhere you feel you need it.

The sheet mask is sized quite nicely for a K-beauty sheet mask. Each of the masks does have a different size mask (how that is possible for one brand boggles my mind), but it is more generous than others. The eye holes are narrow, so do not be surprised when the mask will cover your eyebrows and barely clear your lower lash line. Also, the mask still has the portion of the mask for the eye area still attached. It is slightly strange to see that, but for the antiaging/moisturizing masks, it is nice to have the extra surface area to help treat the undereye area. The upper lip area is wide enough to cover a majority of the upper lip area. The nose portion of the mask is slightly longer than most, but still as narrow as others. The forehead of the mask is HUGE! Some of these masks there is at least 2 extra inches of mask hanging out above the hairline. It is the opposite for the chin though, the chin has barely enough mask to cover the chin and underneath the jawline on certain offerings of the masks.

Do the masks deliver on their claims?
The biggest thing with sheet masks, is do they really work as quickly as you would want it to? The Crème Shop sheet masks do actually deliver on their claims. After leaving the sheet masks on for 15-20 minutes, and patting in the leftover essence into your skin, there is a visible brightness to the skin. After using the oil control/acne masks there is a definite difference in the amount of oil production during the day. After using the moisturizing and anti-aging sheet masks, there is an overall feeling of moisture and firmness to the skin.

Are these worth the money?
If you are in CVS, or your local drugstore, and see these sheet masks, you will not be disappointed. While they are not a miracle worker and can not turn you into a clear skin, no lines, airbrushed goddess, they will work to brighten, tighten and clear your skin with use. This is a product that I would repurchase again. Bonus with these masks, when they go on sale at CVS they are typically 2/$3, hello sale price! (And you can even use your ExtraCare Bucks to purchase them! Even better!)
